This alignment (“yoga”) is about how the masculine and feminine energies align. The feminine principles are the nighttime, and all the even numbered signs (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces). Male principles are the daytime, and all the odd numbered signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius). The important factors interacting with these are the three principle foundations of personality: The ascendant, the Sun and the Moon. So, when a female gendered person is born at night, when the Sun, Moon and Ascendant are all in feminine – even numbered – signs, it is a great synergy of energy, “mahābhāgya.” Similarly for a person with male gender, to be born during the day when the Sun, Moon and Ascendant are all in masculine signs, the odd numbered ones – is a sign of great fortune having a very synergistic emotions/physical gender matchup.
When this yoga is inverted – a male is born with the female version of the alignment, or a female born with the male version – we also find very outstanding character traits in the individual, but for inverted reasons. That is to say, the male born with the female alignment has an outstanding grasp of the feminine nature; and the female born with the male alignment similarly has outstanding grasp of the male nature.
