Pisces Fish

Fish "A" and Fish "B" of Pisces

Why does Pisces have the symbol of two fish?

They are two fish because the sign is a water sign. Water is the element of self-realization, introspection, emotional intuition, and enlightenment. Pisces, being the final sign of the zodiac, represents the pinnace of development in those areas. At this point the self splits in two directions, one of which is not ready to commit to these deep spiritual revelations and internal realizations – the other of which is eager to move forward to the new life on a new level of understanding. Thus one fish swims back towards the former signs, while the other strives upwards and towards a new beginning in the zodiac. The two fish are tied together signifying that there is great difficulty in making up one’s mind about which direction to commit to.
