Some Predictions Based on Saturn & Jupiter

When Saturn and Jupiter influence one another you  get potential for very great persons to be born. Persons who lead society forward in new directions and who have heightened spiritual interests and talents.
For example a lot of really cool stuff happened the in 1969-1971 when this happened. Cool events, movements, and very interesting, often spiritually inclined kids were born. So let’s take a look at the relative transits of Jupiter and Saturn and see what strikes us in the way of making predictions.
c. 2000 – 2001 they were conjunct in Aries & Taurus. This was certainly a fascinating time. This kids will be adults around 2020. That will be an important milestone  for society

c 1991 they were opposite one another, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Capricorn. Thus Jupiter was exalted and Saturn was strong. There were a lot of very very powerful underground movements going on at this time with the energence of Rap and Hardcore punk as strong forces to shape the nature of society for the next two decades and counting. There was an alarmingly powerful spiritual movement among the punk rockers at this time.

Planet Jupiter - "Guru Brihaspati"

Kids born during this conjunction are now 19 or 20 years old. They are now becoming adults. So my prediction is that we are bound to see a lot of new changes and new directions in the world, and these kids will take the wheel and make significant contributions to lead us in new directions. This will be a strong generation of adults.

c. 1981 The two were conjunct in Virgo. This is a rather neutral sign for the both of this, less pleasant for Jupiter.

So we should find, by examining history, that there is a generation theme caused by the different ways that Jupiter and Saturn interact every 10-11 years. Every 10-11 years they are either conjunct or opposite. This is what causes different trends and themes on a generational scale. This could be examined in far more detail by astrologers, using the specific signs involved and aspects from other planets to make sense of the generational specifics from one wave to the next.

Why Astrology Get’s Things Wrong Sometimes

First of all, I am going to be loud and ask those of you how are already answering/commenting “because it’s bullshit” to press pause and at least read this article and some of the other stuff I’ve written on the subject with an open mind. To summarize, when I say “astrology” I’m not talking about Miss Cleo phone lines or bullshit columns in tabloids, newspapers and websites. I’m talking about real, authentic, ancient astrology.

Yes, there is such a thing. I practice it myself.

And yes, sometimes I get things wrong.

(No, this is not about something specific.) Why do we get things wrong sometimes? To explain my opinion on this let me use an analogy… the weather. You turn on the news and they tell you it’s going to rain tomorrow. Most of the times they are right. But sometimes wrong. Is it because meteorology is a bogus psuedo-science? A load of “bullshit”? No. It’s because meteorology is extremely complex.

There’s another interesting thing about this analogy between astrology and meteorology. If you watch the “7 day forecast” you know that the further towards the 7th day you get, the less likely it is that their prediction will be accurate. And they don’t even try to go beyond 7 days. This is another thing about astrology, and perhaps is what got me to write this article, though in response to dialog within my own head, not with clients. People ask astrologers for “weather reports” about some pretty damn important stuff that is pretty far in the future. When you have complex science like astrology (or meteorology, etc.) the further out you go from your known starting point, the more your small inaccuracies multiply their effects.

So for example, let’s say I lose my wallet. Some smartass might say, “you are an astrologer. shouldn’t you have known you were going to lose your wallet?” As if I have the Brain CPU to sit there constantly evaluating the complex astrological equations for all the potential outcomes on an ongoing basis, for a non-paying client (me). People who only know about Gypsies and Crystal Balls and Miss Cleo 1-900-555-5555 really have no idea how complex authentic astrology is, and what a time and energy consuming affair it is to unravel the weave of her equations and symbolic formulae.

When a weather reporter gets next Friday’s weather wrong, it doesn’t mean that Meteorology is bogus. It means that we human beings employing the science are imperfect. Because it’s a very complicated science, little imperfections wind up having big implications and effects. It’s the same thing with astrology. Why is a prediction sometimes wrong, or absent? Because we are human.

PS – Any astrologer telling you they are more than human or have a divine access to knowledge is a con-artist. We are all humans, and you can do a DNA test to verify this. =)

Survey – Please Fill Out

For anyone who fills out this survey nicely (by commenting on this post) and including their birth date/time/place I’ll send you a description of your Vedic Moon Star (the lunar mansion of your Moon in eastern astrology) as a “thank you.”

For 2010 I am revamping the structure and format of the written readings I do for people, and I would like your help and input in deciding exactly what that improved format will be!

The question is: If you were getting a reading from you about ___X___, what specific topics/questions would want me to address?

The possibilities for “___X___” are:

  • Marriage & Relationships
  • Financial Prosperity
  • Career & Life-Path
  • Emotional Health
  • Fertility
  • Raising Children
  • Spiritual Growth

Please pick the ones from the above list that you would actually be interested in having a reading on, and tell me the specific topics and questions you would want me to address in that reading. Thanks!!!

If you want to suggest some other topics, or anything else, this is a great place and time to do so!

P.S. In case it’s not clear, here is an example of a nice answer:

I would be interested in a reading on Spiritual Growth. The questions and topics I would want to know about would be… when will i have times in my life where it will be easier to be more “spiritual”?… what sort of spiritual path am i most cut out for? what is the biggest challenge to my spiritual progress, which i should pay the most attention to? what are the best types of spiritual practices for me?

Research on Twins

Gemini

Dear Fellow Astrologers,

(And other avid astrology hobbyists). I’d like to make this post a “thread” to discuss findings on the astrology of twins. If you are reading this in facebook or in some other place besides my actual blog, please try to put your MUCH WANTED comments on the original post (here) so that they are all in one place and don’t get overlooked.

I’m going to start the thread with the following observation – and I would like to ask you to see if you can verify / modify it based on the charts of twins that you have in your possession. Please specify if the charts you are referring to are sidereal or tropical, and specify the house system they use. (For your reference I always use sidereal zodiac and whole-sign houses, unless otherwise specified).

To start… I have two charts of twins.. in both…

  • The 3rd House ruler (representing siblings) is in an oscillating (“dual”) sign
  • Mars (representing siblings) is in an oscillating (“dual”) sign
  • In the D-3 (drekkan, or 3rd harmonic chart, representing siblings) the ascendant is an oscillating sign.
  • The ruler of the 3rd House from the Moon is in an oscillating sign.

If you have charts of twins please if appropriate post the birth data with names removed and give your comments on relevant features. If you ARE a twin, please comment with your birth date, time and location!

THANKS!
